Is Densyl Tape a wax tape?
Yes. Densyl Tape is comprised of a petrolatum compound which is a type of wax.
Is this product suitable for underground use and what standards does it meet?
Densyl Tape can be used underground, as well as above ground, for corrosion prevention on a wide variety of applications. It also meets NACE RP0375-2006 standard, AWWA C217 standard and is CSA Z245.30 compliant.
Will the SeaShield Series 2000HD protect piles from impact damage?
The SeaShield Series 2000HD System (comprised of an 80 mil HDPE Outercover) provides good mechanical protection from minor debris, flotsam, and ice impact.
Can a topcoat be applied over the Protal 7200 where the substrate is aboveground and exposed to UV rays and environmental weather?
Typically any operator-approved topcoat such as urethanes, polyurethanes, and acrylics, can be applied over Protal 7200. Archco 65 is the Topcoat of choice over Protal 7200 and other coatings to provide long-term UV protection and prevent chaulking.
